No data collection. No servers. No tracking.

What InboxPlayer does

InboxPlayer is a Chrome extension that plays audio email attachments (voicemail files) inline inside Gmail. It detects audio attachment links in your Gmail interface and adds a small audio player so you can listen without downloading the file.

Data we collect

InboxPlayer collects no personal data whatsoever. The extension does not transmit any information to any external server. There is no analytics, no tracking, no logging, and no user accounts.

How audio files are accessed

When you open a Gmail message containing an audio attachment, InboxPlayer fetches that audio file directly from Google's servers using your existing Gmail session credentials. This fetch happens entirely within your browser. The audio data is decoded and played locally on your device and is never sent anywhere else.

Permissions used

InboxPlayer requests access only to mail.google.com. This permission is required solely to detect audio attachment links within the Gmail interface. No other websites or data are accessed.

Third-party services

InboxPlayer does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data services. The optional Ko-fi tip link in the extension popup opens an external webpage in a new tab if you choose to click it โ€” no data is passed to that site by the extension.

Children's privacy

InboxPlayer does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
